Adjusted Advantage
What it is
The favourite starts with a goal disadvantage (-) and the underdog gets a head start (+). Eliminates the draw by using decimal values. AH -1.5 means the favourite must win by 2 or more.
Formula
Adjusted Result = Real Goals + Handicap
Real Example
AH -1.5 Real Madrid: Real wins 2-0 → 2 - 1.5 = +0.5 → WIN ✓ | Real wins 1-0 → 1 - 1.5 = -0.5 → LOSE ✗
When to Use
When there is a clear favourite but short odds; to balance the pick with adjusted advantage.
